    M12 connectors are round connectors with a 12-millimeters locking thread utilized for sensors, actuators, Fieldbus, and industrial Ethernet, principally in factory automation applications. Often with ratings ofIP65, IP68 and IP69K, they are perfect for washdown and corrosive conditions.

    The M12 family connectors are usually found in several applications that include; factory automation, measurement and control, communications, food and beverage, transportation, agriculture, robotics, and alternative energy.

    When it comes to particular purposes, users must choose the right pin count. For power applications and sensors, 3 and 4 pins are needed. Profinet and Ethernet make use of 4 and 8 pin counts. And Fieldbus, CANbus, and DeviceNet principally use 4 and 5 pin counts. Finally, specify 12 pins for signal specifications.
